I'm sure everyone is aware of what happened at Brooklyn Music Terminal on Friday night by this point, so I won't go into detail.
However, I just spoke to a friend of mine (she's fairly active in the metal scene), And she told me her friend's band was supposed to play there last night (Saturday), and when they showed up, furniture was being hauled out of the club.
This was taken from Ed of Exit 53's blog, his band was supposed to play at BMT's on Saturday night:
"Y'all fucking suck, the least you could have done was e-mail the bands to let them know that you guys we're shutting down. After a 2 hour drive the last thing you want to hear is Ken did'nt email you. YOU FUCKING SUCK ASSHOLE

So the pieces are slowly coming together it would appear. If this place has indeed been shut down, it's the icing on the fucking cake for all of us. Once again, any additional info is appreciated.
It's still far too soon to tell, being I don't have enough details, but after the fiascos that occured there this past weekend, the club MAY have been forced to shut down. Like I said, don't hold me to this, it's only pure speculation at this point. If anyone else knows anything about this, let me know. |

This is nothing new for the place..it will just open again a few months down the line as la'mours again.

who cares about some laptop/synth band, BMT has real musicians playing constantly. A bunch of hissy-fit rivet kids are about as important as a splattered squrrel I saw on the road the other day. | |
